to mum & dad's

actually 30/8 - ran the 18 miles to m&d. was OK. <9mins/mile.
Some tought bits next to A road where couldn't run. Did the through Oxted to Godstone r/about then down A22 to EG route.

Problems:
- bag pack rubbing on neck / top shoulders - need to tighten up etc
- chafing

Got through approx 1 litre water with carboBOOM plus electrolyte tabs and 2 energy gels

swim day

good swim - 40 mins for mile. decent workout after. had the "karno breakfast" of small greek yoghurt + some cereal about 90mins before swimming - was fine. swim better than usual, dunno if because of brekkie. need to move arms in bigger movements for max impact

decent swim - 1 mile in40mins. nice jacuzzi after. then some weights. ate lots at work - too much??? Nothing funny/interesting to report.

long run

Sunday - to Knole park, 3 miles round &b back. 13 miles in all. 1h50 - 5 mins longer than target. decent run though but big hills between brasted & sevenoaks!

Central Park

Biz trip to NYC for the day. Run round CP from 530am - it gets a lot busier after 630!

15miles or so (Garmin said 17 but don't think I ran that far in 2 hours given it took me that long for 15 the other week) in vibrams: good news - calves felt fine after ; bad - left foot shredded!

From work up to Holloway. 8 miles ; 63 mins. Not great but OK esp coz got lost couple times!

Gym sighting: bloke with long hair blow drying it with TWO dryers! Seen him before. Loser.

Moving house today - thanks goodness.

swimming day

Swam 1 mile. 46mins - aagh! Did 44mins 2 days ago! Curses

Ate quite a lot - fruit & nuts for bkfast ; salad lunch ; pret yoghurt & banana in pm. Then big cold pasta & beans from cook followed by yoghurt & fruit for supper.

Supposed to have completed on house today but lawyers seem to have screwed up again... Maybe on purpose methinks. Hoping for completion tomorrow. May have to sue some people here.

sprint day

7 * 800m sprints up the tonbridge road
22mins all in
Then a "hurricane" workout for 3*5mins
Then got me oats (rolled, with youghurt, blueberries & strawberries)
Then off to work!

swim day

1 miles in 44 mins.
Then nice jacuzzi for 5 mins. Do that from now on.
Plus grab a cup of water from 1/2 way down pool at end ; down it & take another for the 'cuzzi.
No shaving foam after which isnt good. Van der Buegel loaned me some of the little shaving cream they give out when they don't have the foam. Nice of him.
